My pleasure 65BR. highcotton's numbers are right on, I get 2930 w/59 w/a 24" barrel. It's a hammer.

I use 54 gr of RL17 for 3150 fps(not a misprint) in my NULA .270 24" barrel. Shoots 1/2" and holds it out to 500 yds.

Hmmm 1/2" and 3150 - that MIGHT would cost me an EXTRA CDS knob seeing how I already got one set up for 2950 smile

You cleaning with Slick 50 smile Hear higher speeds w/17, some get accuracy, some not so great, but it's working for you.

Nosler Brass but got similar results with WW. No Slick 50! Ha. I am not seeing any pressure signs but I feel that it's a little hot to recommend across the board. I backed off to 53.5 for about 3100 but accuracy wasn't as good. Opened up to about an inch. I've got my CDS turret for it and I used a 100 yd zero and I get to about 700 on the dial but I'll have to check. Only shot one deer with it at 325 but it worked well. About 225 lb MS delta buck. CDS is right on out to 600 but I've not shot farther than that.

Never could hold an inch in the field myself smile so that'll do in a pinch regardless. Yes, my CDS IIRC gets right at 700 or a tad more at 2950 w/200yd zero IIRC.

I will be using the ABs no doubt for this 270 that is my sons.

Thanks - yeah, always had very good luck w/WW though really liked the Noz brass when I used some in 260, have some for 243 also.

I run 60gr's of RE22 in my Dad's 270, it chrono'd with the same numbers as you guys, around 2990fps on a cold day, and up to 3030fps on a hot day.
It's unfortunate this rifle see's so little use, my Dad rarely ever hunts anymore, he's 66 this month!
