FYI, Savage has recently released its classic bolt action in the 300. Methinks this will give the original short mag a little more life, will see. BTW, a 300 with a 165 Partition, or similar bullet, will do anything a 308 will do with a 180.

I would be interested in selling my 99F pre mill. Excellent condition, no nicks or scratches, barrel in great condition. My uncle had this in his closet in a hard case for over 30 yrs without being used. I hunted with this gun, open sites for 2 seasons and have 2 nice whitetails to show for it. I have pics which I can send email and will take close ups of any part of the gun for you. The value of this gun is going up from what I read.
