Scenarshooter: Good for you on that dandy Buck Antelope!
That is indeed a whopper.
Many happy returns of that day and best of luck with the upcoming family Hunt.
This past Saturday was the first Antelope opener I have missed in eastern Montana since 1969.
I have had an extended bout of Kidney Stone pain and then subsequent operations starting on September 12th. I had a stent placed in my Kidney and Bladder and can't Hunt (lift or exert myself) until the stent is removed perhaps on October 21st!
Dang my luck - I am so happy that your season is going better than mine!
I have only harvested two Antelope to date with my Remington 700 VLS in caliber 260 Remington.
But I have taken a Deer and several Coyotes with same and it just could be one of THE top 3 factory Antelope calibers out there.
I use the 100 grain Nosler Ballistic Tips in my 260 by the way.
Again thanks for the great story/pictures and good luck the rest of this season.
Hold into the wind

Pat, whats up with the Wolf primers? I assume Wolf is the Russian brand that produces cheap ammo?

Highpower shooter, David Tubb passed that tip onto me. A lot of comp shooters are using the Russian primers. My ES and SD were lower when I switched. I still use Federal 215 Mag Match in my larger cases, but my short cartridges all get Wolf LRM primers.

The 139gr scenars are great. Ive not shot any big game with the 123's to date. The 130gr VLD's really shoot great in my light .260. Just two antelope kills with it so far, but some more critters are going to be shot with that rifle and load in the next month or so.
