Browning brand. Gift from one of my daughters a while back. Highly recommended. Quiet fabric above ankles, good strap under boot, full length, heavy zipper with velcro zipper cover. Nice elastic with velcro adjustment on gaither top. Still look like new with a lot of wear. I use them whenever I'm out in Western WA.

Check these out. New from OR. Coyote Tan, Black, and Multicam. They've got a whole new line of products in those colors. US Cavalry looks to be the only place to get them right now. http://www.uscav.com/productinfo.aspx?productid=21680&tabid=548

Outdoor Research are the best IMO. I agree, I use a knee length pair, great for keeping dirt snow and all but the worst cactus needles out. Weigh nothing and are not too noisy.
