Week 4-180
Week 5-175.5

I didn't reach my goal of breaking through the 170 mark into the upper 160's mad , but I'm so close now that I'm sure I'll get there next week. I'll be sticking around the house working on projects, that ought to help keep me busy and keep me from cheating on my weight loss plan.

BTW, good job rrroae!

Thanks.

I agree with you, strength through shared misery. grin
But it does seem like the number of folks in this contest has dwindled down considerably, doesn't it?

As much as I hate dieting, I'm also dreading the end of the contest a bit because I probably won't have my weight down where I want it by the end of the contest and it's this contest that has given me the push to finally lose this weight I've been accumulating for several years. I'll quickly add that winning isn't the motivator for me; it's the camaraderie and competition that's doing it.

Thanks again rrroae for starting this contest. smile

Blah! I have fallen off the wagon. However, Monday is the day that I am beginning a workout with a crew from work.

Hoping that I can get this weight off...

I did the Broad Street Run in May (largest 10 miler in the country), right in Philly.

I am doing it again this year, as well as a brain cancer run on November 6. I will be looking for donations then, if anyone is willing...

I'd rather have a bad day hunting than a good day working!

Troops,

sorry for checking in this late.

Started at 224.
Am now at 213.

1 Sheep hunt, two black bear hunts, packing out three moose.
Tent for 5 out of the last six weeks. Longest period w/o shower 20 days.

Am determined to keep at it. I want to break the big two - 199 is the goal.

JPros tips and more excercise...

Thank you rroae for starting this.

Great job, fellas.

I concede defeat. Started around 278, dropped to 269 at the low point and sit at 272 today. I truly need to double the effort and halve the calories. Congrats to all who succeeded in losing weight.

Weighted 265.5 as of Thursday evening, for a total loss of 3.5 pounds. Not exactly the stellar performance I was hoping for.

Been kinda too busy to post, but at 188lb this morning.

More importantly for me, I can get into 34" waist trousers now for the first time in a while..They are still a little snug, but if I reach my goal of 180lb, they should fit fine..

I'm coming in late to this thread, but it caught my eye after my physical. I was 6'1" 232 at my physical 6 weeks ago. The doc said I'm categorically obese, which ticked me off. I play racquetball regularly and bike regularly, but never paid attention to how much I eat, and I love to eat and LOVE to cook. Bad combination. My sister is a family practice doc and recommended a website. I didn't take the time to go through the 52 pages, so forgive me if this has already been posted, but www.myfitnesspal.com has been the key to my success. It has a calculator for height, weight, and goal, then tells you how many calories you can have daily to meet that goal. I'm an OCD reloader so numbers are my thing, and I enjoy plugging in my meals into the calculator, and the great thing is that your favorite recipes can be plugged in as well and it figures the calories on your own recipes as well. I weighed in at 211 this morning after my 2.8 mile run in 28 minutes. It's not a fast weight loss, but is definitely sustainable and I'm not hungry all the time and I get to eat what I want, which makes this a legit plan for me, and I'm guessing it would work for many of you as well. Check it out www.myfitnesspal.com

Will post a pic of scales a little later having trouble with my blackberry this morning, here's the numbers though.
Start 232 1/4
Week 1 221
Week 2 219 1/4
Week 3 218 1/2
Week 4 217 1/2
Week 5 213 1/4
Week 6 211 1/4
Week 7 205 1/4
Week 8 202
Week 9 197 3/4
Week 10 on hunting trip and gained 1 3/4 weighed 199 1/2
Week 11 194 1/4

How much longer is this going to run? I'm still 4 1/4 lbs away from my goal and already know that maintaining my weight is going to be tough. Congratulations to all who have loss weight and those of you who have reached your goals.

You guys are doing good!
I have been having some troubles of late, myself.
Gotta get back on the wagon here-though I am still 25 pounds lighter than when I started early last spring-down to 205, still a long ways to go, though.

am thinking Bristoe wins hands down

he's lost so dang much weight we don't even see him anymore!

congrats to you guys, what you've done is not just look better but ensure that you are still around a while longer for those that love and depend upon you!

I need to push my fat azz away from the table and start working out again.

lol

I think my mouth would explode if I had something that sweet right now.

What would be nice is drinking a beer that isn't friggin' light beer. Might have to continue drinking the piss water if I want to keep some of this weight off.
