Thinking about picking one up. When I bought my .300 WSM it was a toss up between it and the 7mm.
I never really fell in love with the .300 so I gave it to my dad.
I've been reading a lot of great reviews on the EW,so I looked at the Winchester site and see they're offing it in 7WSM.
The 7WSM won't do anything that a rifle already in my safe won't do. Thats the only thing holding me back.

If that's the only thing holding you back, then go ahead and buy.
The same could be said of every single rifle I every bought after the first one. Don't tell my wife.

I hear they shoot real nice. Having one in a 7 WSM would be top shelf. I'm also thinking of the same rifle. Like you, I have plenty that work just fine. Same problem.

Have a EW in 308. I think they are the best rifle out there at this time.
Most people don't really want the truth.
They just want constant reassurance that what they believe is the truth.

I have the same model in .270 WSM & love it. Definitely better than the POS (Kimber) it replaced. Just go & get it. Bear in Fairbanks

Bear,
The problem is, he CAN'T just go and get it. Winchester hasn't put them out on the street yet...

Just waiting for someone to buy one, decide they don't like it, then sell it in the Classifieds . . . to me, of course!

My ultimate love is the 300 WSM. I gave away my 7 WSM. I love short action cartridges and these two deliver the groceries. I chose the 300 because it'll drive its bullets considerably faster than the 7.

I've called half dozen stores, and have been told that yeah they have one. I dig a bit deeper and they finally realize I'm not talking about a 7mm Rem mag.
