Looking for a new rifle in 6.5 swede, seems only Tikka, CZ 550 and Sako are the only ones in that price range I can find. Same as for a 257Bob, just Ruger. Any and all help appreciated!!! TIA, Bob
Thanks, Bob Too many calibers and not enough time for the working man to hunt with them all.

GeoW, thanks, I only looked at the 1500, but the Hoque has it in my price range if it is a decent rifle. Bob

No fly's on the Howa, have a couple of Vanguards and they're good rifles.

My son has a 6.5x55 in a Howa and it is a fine shooting rifle. You won't be disappointed.

Get a long action and about any gunsmith of your choice is making a 6.5 x 55 to your specifications..

http://www.chuckhawks.com/choosing_6-5mm_rifle.htm not sure how current the rifle options may be. Win M70 would be used, or a gun that somehow never was sold. Rem 700 Classic probably was made in 6.5x55mm.

Just buy the CZ, they are a lot of rifle for the money. Great shooters, and frankly...if anyone knows of a better factory trigger, I'd like to see it.

You must have a good CZ. Everyone I have played with is HORRIBLE. no CZ will beat a Sako or Tikka trigger Flinch

CZ triggers on the 550 are fully adjustable single set triggers...when they are adjusted right(user adjustable) they are top notch. I've had Timneys that weren't as good as the original factory trigger on my 550.
