I have two; a 25-06 Remington Sendero and a 25-06 Remington Classic with a Pac-Nor barrel. I've killed everything from prairie dogs to big hogs with 100 grain Sierra Game Kings and Nosler Ballistic Tips.

My youngest likes the Sendero.

I have a leftie Savage 111 package deal in .25-06 that I replaced the stock on with a Savage tupperware stock and the scope/rings/mounts. It now wears a Nikon Pro-Staff 3-9x40 with BDC. It's accounted for a nice little doe in Alabama last year. I love the caliber and rifle! I've always loved the cartridge and was looking to scratch that itch and find something that wasn't gonna kick as much. Prolly a 7mm-08 coming someday, too.

my go-to rifle is my model 70 Fwt in 25-06... it exhibits sparkling accuracy with a number of loads... and makes me look better than i am...

the lack of an Amax bullet makes me go weak in the knees though, and i may sell it off, for lack of same...

NOT!!!

Have you tried the SST?? Has anybody tried the SST, and if so, what kinda results did you get?

I'm fairly certain the SST is about the last bullet I would throw at anything larger than a squirrel.

it shoots tiny little groups with either the 75vmax or the 100 ballistic tip... or, it does almost as well with the 100 partition...

i'm not looking for anything really, although top level accuracy with the heavier bullets of 115-120 gr has eluded me...
what it does shoot though it shoots well enough to do just about anything i care to do with a rifle...

if this were a fairy tale, i'd tell you that the 75s and 100s shot to the same point of aim... not so, but i have loaded a magazine with the vmax, the 100 B.T. and the 100 partition, and kept them all in the 2" square of This Printable Target ...

25-20 Marlin M94 made in 1906. Use it with cast bullets for small game and plinking .

250 Savage in Savage M99R and Ruger M77 tang safety. Used both on antelope, whitetail and coyotes.

257 Roberts, Ruger M77 MKII also used on antelope, whitetail and coyotes.
Sure wish we had hogs around here, these rifles need more work!
