What quarter bore do have and what do you hunt with it.
I have a Ruger tang safety in 257 Roberts, that I have taken on hunts for deer, elk, moose and black bear. I also have a Marlin XL7 in 25-06. I plan on using it for the same.
I am Canadian.

I have a Sako 85 in 25-06. The only thing it has killed so far is whitetail deer.

250/3000, 250AI, 257 Roberts, 25/06 and 257 Weatherby. I've also owned 25/35 and 25/20. Whitetail, blacktail, black bear, Axis and likely a hog.

25-284 on an early M700 short action. Second time I have owned it; about 3 years ago I let it get away and managed to buy it back a few months ago. One coyote, one whitetail and a cow elk with it so far, but I will use it on anything from gophers to moose.
Over the years I have owned the Bob, Bob AI, 25-06 and 257 Wby. I like the 25 cal. But at this point this one does anything I want a 25 cal to do, and I am not really interested in owning any more.
Anybody who seriously concerns themselves with the adequacy of a Big 7mm for anything we hunt here short of brown bear, is a dufus. They are mostly making shidt up. Crunch! Nite-nite!

Rem 700 in 25-06. It's now just coming into it's own. Took a while but finally found a couple of loads that it really likes. I've taken mostly whitetails, all up close , and two speed goats in SoDak. One of which was a 400 yrd poke. I can't think of a better all around cartridge.

The one is a Savage .257 Weatherby in a Midway barrel. Teh scope is a Bushnell 4200 4-16X40 sighted in at 300. The one at the funsmith will replace this one. That is a .250SLR which will wear a Swarovski z5 5-25X52. It is a .470 head case with more capacity than even the .25 Gibbs. The neck is only .2" long. It will be used for everything I plan to hunt up to elk. Both scopes are in Burris Signature rings.

I have a Rem 700 .25-06 SPS that I bought here on the 'fire. I have killed a couple blacktails with it, but don't have any pics handy. I also got a freaky mule deer with it and my one and only antelope. Here are pics of those critters with the rifle: I like it!

257AI 2 of them sons stole both when they left home but were built for them anyway, while I was shooting a 270win. Win 70 actions, Boots Obynmier barrals and BC stocks, deer, and elk 115Nosler Partitions. sons say dont change anything. Right now debating between building another one in just a bob or a 6.5x55swede. Bob
Thanks, Bob Too many calibers and not enough time for the working man to hunt with them all.

Remington 700 LSS BDL 25-06 with Zeiss 3-9X40 now. I had two rugers in 25 cal and neither one shot worth a darn. #1 25-06 and a hawkeye 257 bob.

Rem Custom shop Model 7 in 250 Sav, and a Weatherby Fibermark in 25-06. Coyotes, deer and antelope. On the hunt for a 257 Roberts, as I have several thousand 257 component bullets I want to shoot up....

Tom

250/3000, 250AI, 257 Roberts, 25/06 and 257 Weatherby. I've also owned 25/35 and 25/20. Which would you keep over the others?

..always wanted a .257 Weatherby Magnum but the only Weatherby made gun that I liked was the Euromark that is rare to find in a 26" barrel. After Remington started chambering the CDL in .257 I knew one day I would own one...and last Friday was the day...
Ordered the dies, brass, powder and bullets that should be in hand next week. A 4.5-5 Leupold Veri-X III 30mm Long Range with B&C reticle will top it off...
