Thanks for the comments The pin I found in a hobby shop in their brass tubing that is about all I know, They only had two of them and I got both, and don't know where to get more right now.

What I meant was, it looks like in the picture that you had to make a star-shaped hole in the scales. I can't imagine doing that. Am I seeing it wrong?

No No, it is a round hole filled with epoxy in dark wood you just can't see the round hole.
