I have the original A7s which were factory spec'd for S and M actions to weigh 6-pounds 3-ounces out the box with 22 7/16" barrels. The heaviest models, being the WSMs and Mags, were factory spec'd to weigh 6-pounds 6-ounces with 24 3/8" barrels. The actual weights generally ran below the listed factory spec'd weight in the 5-pound 14-ounce to 6-pound 2-ounce range depending on model.
I do not own an A7 newer than the original run, but these are all reportedly heavier than the original with factory spec'd weight for the later M action 25-06 being 6.8 lbs or 6-pounds 13-ounces. I was unsure where this extra weight came from and had suspected it was possibly due to a stock design change. Your heavier stock seems to confirm this and your overall heavier weight seems to fall in line with the newer heavier spec'd weight for that model.
I had thought all the later stocks, after the design change, wore ST trim with the difference being obvious by feel. But I guess it is possible that they may have made some mid-run adjustments to the original stock and maybe the barrel profile which might account for some added weight. If the later is the case, then the only way I'd know to tell would be to weigh the rifle on a scale. I've noticed that many of the web dealers have updated their specs on this rifle to reflect this heavier spec'd weight.
All of this is moot if you get your hands on a lighter 24-ounce A7 stock, be it an original or be it an Edge.
Edited Note: I'm unsure if a M action 25-06 shares the same barrel profile with a M action 30-06, or not. Assuming they have identical barrels profiles, and assuming both the 25-06 and the 30-06 are original 1st-generation models with the light stocks:
Using rounded numbers from an engineering calculator for the barrel steel, the 25-06 would be 3-ounces heavier than the 30-06 in the barrel alone. This should put an original 1st-generation 25-06 in the 6-pound 1-ounce to 2-ounce range.
