Archie, I like those Greywolf, had one in model 75. Nice stock but it was too heavy for what I wanted. This doesn't really qualify as a real Sako but here it is on a tailgate....grin

Here is one of several that I have. 6mm TCU with a Hart barrel and a stock I carved out of a remnant of a blank that another guy had.

I a few Sakos, a AV Laminate in 7 mm mag, a TRG-S in 7X64, a 75 Finnlight in 6.5X55, a 75 in 25-06, but I only have a photo of my AV 375 H&H.

Only own one and it will be with to the end. I don't know what model it is. (I think AV) bought in about 1985. New cartridge then, 7MM-08.

Thanks Archie and JGRaider. When I bought my 300 ultra I thought I would only buy one more Sako in 30-06. To this day I have never owned one in 30-06. Oh well guess I will keep buying until I find one in 30-06..

OK, ya'll need a couple from the Golden Age of Sako superiority... L-461, set up as a bench rest only gopher shooter. 1 in 14 twist Lilja 3 groove, 223. Walnut and Rosewood, Loopy LRS 6.5-20 30mm tube. Here is my walking around / calling varnint rifle. 50's era Sako Riihimaki 222 with custom stock incl Niedner style metalwork, wraparound 22lpi checkering, Loopy 4.5-14x40 Gloss finish scope. I just LOVE me these small, correct for the cartridge size, older Sako's. Add in some semi fancy wood and I am in Varmint shooting nirvannah. Oh and yes, these two DO get taken out and hunted, a LOT. In fact they are my two most used and hunted with rifles by a long measure. This one (the riihimaki above) knows how to get ahead! - rockchuck head, in this case below. That is all said Rockchuck showed me, 125 yards away. The bench gun will shoot 36gr Varmint Grenades into the .3's with no load development work done by me and the Riihimaki 222 plants Moly'ed 50gr TNT's into the .4's when I do my part. Accurate rifles do NOT have to be plasicized ugly [img:left] http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a7/safariman416/larkdriveconcertandgunstrailerforsale033.jpg[/img]
