Flinch, I must ask why you would bother necking down the world's finest LR cartridge (with the best B.C.'s under 200gr) down to 25cal?

Great story! Love the "skid line" in the picture. That tale will never get old.
I shoot 110gr Accubonds in my 25-06 and love em! The whitetails hate them with a passion!
Admittedly, I have never been fortunate enough to go on an elk hunt, but I would have no issue taking my set up if given the chance.
Congrats on your cow!

Take a Knee, in the Remington action with 2.8 OAL, the .284 just doesn't excite me, due to having to seat the bullets too deep. It is a dream in some of the slightly longer custom actions. The .25-284 is just flat out fast and is a great all purpose round. I hunt coyotes with 75 grain Vmax's doing 3,750 fps! It "catches" them, even at long range. The 100 grain bullets at 3,400-3,500 fps are great for antelope and deer. If a guy wants to shoot 115-120 grain bullets, there isn't much they won't shoot through (other than ballistic tips :D) This round absolutely dotes on X bullets and they work better than any other round I have used them in. They like speed and this round provides it. Kids can shoot this round for everything without undo recoil as well. I love the round. Flinch

Mathman, did I get my degrees right...or at least close? SU35, I believe the comeups are 8.75, if I remember right. Like I mentioned, I think the B.C. is better than advertised. I run a Leupold 3x9 tactical. I have ran this scope for about 15 years and it has been the most flawless scope I have ever ran. Flinch Dober, the action is a Remington 700 short action ADL in a Boyds laminate stock. It has a 26" #3 Lilja pipe. It is heavy at 9.5 lbs. but steady in the field. Flinch

I reverse engineered the angle from the dope vs. laser distance you gave, and I think you came out pretty close if I remember what I calculated.
