Member powdr brought this up on the mountain lion thread...we each seem to have a critter or two we just will not shoot or hunt, for whatever personal reason...his was Mountain Lion, mine is Elephant...

Seen numerous elephant in the wild, been scary close to a couple, would kill one if I had to...just don't ever want to...

Top of the global list would have to be elephant.
Closer to home it is fox. Good thing we aren't chicken ranchers...grin

Can't say that about jackrabbits.....pretty much anything with buck teeth is fair game for the varmint guns...

I really want a rhino for some reason, but don't think it can be done in a sporting manner any more, right? Elephant doesn't really move me in any way. Really no interest in shooting mulie does though.

Worldwide, I'm in agreement. I don't have a desire to kill an elephant. My Grandfather would never hunt doves, saying they were a sacred bird. I finally broke over on them and even enjoy eating dove. I'll leave the elephants be.

Having not been to Africa yet, I have no interest in killing:
Elephant Giraffe Rhino Zebra
Stateside about anything, except the exotic's.
Don't mind what other folks wanna shoot, some are just not for me.

I'm not sure how sporting a giraffe would be, but that's one I'm willing to bend my principles on because I think their hides are cool and a huge tanned one would be awesome

They are pretty good smoked with apple wood though.... What I don't have a desire to hunt....hmmmmmmmmmmm? All I can think about is rhino...can't afford elephant anyways..... Giraffe would make a heckuva neck roast! I think I would shoot one just to torment the skinners or at least have the PH radio in that we did!

Mustangs. They are absolute hell on the environment and need to be culled (if not eliminated) but I have zero desire to kill one. I'd imagine if forced to I would have trouble pulling the trigger. Zebras fall into this catagory too. No desire whatsoever.
Can't say that about anything else. I am a killing machine but have a soft spot for horses: wild, feral and domestic.
