I see Savage makes 6.5-284s in a target rifle, only a matter of time before they make a sporter in this caliber. They make a sporter in 6.5x284. They even make in in a LH action.

The 6.5-284 is as practical for hunting as any other cartridge in the same class. The 6.5-06 and 6.5-284 are two peas in a pod as far as I am concerned. I have both in hunting weight rifles and have shot several deer and antelope using 120 BT's. Critters taken didn't see any difference between them and neither did I.
