Hi guys, just thought I'd get some opinions on this pistol. What do you think of them?? Thanks.

Had one years ago. Beautiful gun, pretty well conceived/designed (see below)and very nicely manufactured. Never had a malf in a couple thousand rounds. The reach to and purchase on the trigger did not quite suit me so I traded it off. The safety/decocker lever (shape and sharpness)is an ergonomic abomination. The sights aren't that great but on OTOH I made a couple of my best showing off (meaning an element of luck was involved)shots ever with that gun. I wish it had fit me better because I really liked it otherwise. An 8040 I shot once was one of the smoothest semis I ever shot IMO and fit my hand much nicer I thought.

Thanks RufusG, I was holding out for a smith 4506 but couldn't find the right one. Found a smith 4006 but wanted a 45 instead so I figured I'd take the plunge and get the beretta since it was cheaper than the 4006 and a 45. I hear the beretta doesn't fit many guys and see why since it has a pretty big grip. I'm lucky since I've got pretty bit meathooks and it fits very well. I've put around 400 rounds down the tube on this one and it looks like its a keeper. Not as accurate as my XDM40 (in my hands) but like all pistols I think this one is just a matter of not having enough trigger time in yet. Here's my 15 yard groups (2 hands with no bags) with the pistol and el-cheapo blazer brass 230 gr. fmj loads blush:

I'll be going out in a little while to try some differnt loads in it (230 gr. winchester white box stuff, "walmart specials" grin).
