The 243 Win 105 VLD has always worked very well.

I also like the 7mm Rem Mag.

Phil killed this buck with the 7mm and you don't see to many horseback antelope hunts.

I have even killed one with a .270 Win, but in a pistol. grin

I must say I like the .264 Win Mag right now for a no compromise do anything antelope cartridge.

I will chime in with another "Me Too".

I do think warm weather during the typical antelope hunt has more than a little to do with some peoples issues with antelope meat. A big cooler full of ice and fast quartering goes a long way.

If down in a headlock, I'd opt for the .264 WM. It's a Winchester M70 of 2000 vintage or so (a special run of "Westerners" of 2000) w/ a Leupold M8 8x scope. Scary accurate, though not so sporting.

Several 25-06s, a couple of 270s, 280s, 7 RM, 7 WSM, 308s, 30-06s, and several others. Pretty much the flavor of the week.

Been fortunate to have had 2 Arizona tags, filled the first with my .300 win mag at 350 yards or so. The second with a .50 TC Hawken at 60 yards. Both worked fine...
