Have been trying to figue out loads for my nearly complete .35 Remington. Have seen several mentions of 9 or 10 grains of Unique behind a 158 gr. cast .357 pistol bullet. Can anyone confirm or deny this load, I can't find any source listing anything like this. I have 500, 158 RN lead pistol bullets and a lbs. of Unique, neither of which I've got any other plans for and I thought it would be a good way to use them up if it's a safe load.

21" contender carbine, made light. About 4.5 with ghost rings and hair over 5 with 4x leupold.

Lyman Cast Bullet Handbook:
35 Rem
150 gr. cast - Unique @ 9.5 gr. 1370 fps - max 12.5 gr. 1665 fps.
195 gr. cast - Unique @ 9.5 gr. 1320 fps - max 12.0 gr. 1525 fps.
206 gr. cast - Unique @ 9.5 gr. 1265 fps - max 12.0 gr. 1465 fps.
