Coming from a guy with three homes due to circumstance and as investments, go to Africa! You can get the new house later...

Besides, don't you have some buffler's in your next of the woods that need shot? You know the hairy ones! wink

Ok. Thanks for the arm twisting pointer. grin

Hey sactoller, that load is 65gr of Big Game and the 286gr Hornady. 2.200 COL.

I'm going to try 64gr with the Prvi and see how she does.

Very nice! I've been looking around for a Ruger with decent wood to make a project out of. I might have to steal an idea or two from you.

Tophet, I dig the camel shot. Where is the full size pic?

Steal away. My only good ideas come from other builds.

Don't underestimate "nice wood". Because this thing was hideous before I got it back.

Wow! I've been looking around for a decent tang safety Ruger to do the same thing to. I have a Husqvarna in 9,3x62 but I really , really want a Ruger, drool!

Congrats on a great looking and shooting rifle!

Travis,

Very, very nice.

Curious if you got out to try the Prvi 286s yet? They were quite accurate in two of my rifles, and just so-so in the other two. Not much different than other bullets in that respect. Some rifles like them, and some don't.

Several guys up here are using them on moose and bear, and they seem to be working okay in that department.

Thanks Ted!

I hope to try the Prvi's today or some time next week. I think they'll shoot. And I love the looks of those big fat bastids!

I bunch of guys I hunt moose with use 9.3 x 62s, so I have helped skin and butcher (really butcher, not just quarter) dozens of moose shot with many cartridges.

Based on looking at wound tracks and recovered bullets, I have to say that the cartridge is a heck of a fine choice to slay moosie meat creatures! grin
