The good:
Montana Rifle Company Left Hand Stainless Steel 375 H&H
Montana #5 contour SS barrel, 22 inch, floorboard crown
Mcmillan Winchester Classic Stock, painted green,14"LOP,blued studs. Bedded. Stock is equipped with a Danuser Counter-coil hydraulic recoil reducer. Here's a link to their site:
http://www.danuser.com/products/coil/counter_coil.htmI had this installed by the factory guy, just to try it out. It works quite well! Eye relief isn't much of an issue, at least with this scope. If you don't like it, you could pull it off and have a 1 inch pad installed with about a 5/8" spacer to make 13.5" LOP. I had originally intended to buy another stock and use this for practice, but it never happened.
Weight = 9.75 lbs as pictured with Talley LW and 1.5-5 Leupold.
Fired around 200 rounds, shot 1-1.5 MOA. I didn't do much load work up, I'm sure it could do better with a bit of work.
The bad: recoil pad missing a chunk from the top. Paint is dinged up pretty good from being hunted. Inletting for the barrel isn't the prettiest. Action could use some polishing, as it's a bit rough to cycle. Feeds fine!
$1000 shipped from non/FFL with Talley LW lows,Lyman 375 H&H dies, 50 rounds of brass, and whatever bullets I can scrounge up (a few 235 Speer and TSXs).
$1200 with pictured Leupold Vari-X III 1.5-5 gloss duplex scope, Butler Creek covers, and everything above. Scope has some ring marks. Blue Tape over Leupold emblem free of charge
