Question on fix for Winnie 94/22M Magazine tube:

Previous edition had a small split ring on the end of the magazine tube that kept it from sliding freely when you load it. New one does not, all stock that the dealer had was also bereft of this part. I assume Winchester dropped the part as the old one had some issues as I recall, but the specifics are lost to my years. Anybody got an easy fix for this? I see a number of options but none that really make me smile.

I take out the mag tube and tuck it under my arm like a ramrod, and of course reinsert it after loading.

In other words, no I don't know, but nobody else was answering.

Two of mine are pretty new and one is what I'd call older. Can't find a split ring on any of them although I don't doubt your memory, (I often fault mine).

Anyway, I fix all tube feds the same way. A little, bitty squeeze of the magazine tube with a pair of vice grips,(up there close to the locking slot). It helps protect the tube if you tape the area first. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
