why don't you look at the Noveske rifles with SS barrel. The rogue hunter with LW Stainless Barrel is what I would buy if I had the money. For a defensive and general purpose carbine the DD M4V7 is nice, the Colt 6720 is nice and a lot less, for a rifle more inclined to hunting the Noveske Rogue hunter in 5.56 or 6.8SPC is where I would start and stop. I can tell you that my Noveske with carbon steel barrel and chrome lined is very good but mine is rather heavy because it has a VIS upper and a 17 ounce + mount 1-4 optic on it.

A perfect hunting rifle would be the Noveske Rogue hunter with a Leupold VX6 2-12 in a LaRue LT104 mount, fit it with a sling and a 20 round PMAG full of 62 grain barnes TSX bullets and go hunting.

I'd have to go with a Noveske Rogue Hunter sporting a 300 blackout upper threaded for a suppressor. You can shoot both supersonic 125 Nosler Ballistic Tips in 125 gr at 2200 fps or Subsonic Sierra Matchkings at 1050 fps all day long quietly and accurately all day long. Save a few nickles more and get another .223 upper for the same rifle.

What pira114 said ! BCM, Daniel Defense,or Colt. Can't go wrong with any of those brands. Lots and lots of info at M4carbine.net to be had. Good luck with your choice!

M4C has turned into afcom. Yes there is some good info there but the place is plagued with guys chiming in about things they know nothing about.

Just be careful who you listen to there.

Just like most Boards. If he just reads the Sticky's, he'll get some good info to make his decision.

Every one has an important fact that they feel the need to share, even if that fact is in fact hearsay. Witness the eotech vs aimpoint discussions I had to actually mount both on my carbine before I understood which one and why. 99 percent just parrot a fact they read somewhere else, so many lemmings.
