They said about 14-15 months...I want a hunting rifle...round or octagon? I just left Shiloh an hour ago, they have 5 or 6 on the rack ready to sell. No wait on these, you may want to check it out. If there ever was a gun that would become an investment at the point of purchase, these are they...

My favorite rifle in my stable is the .50-2.5 it will out shoot my .40-70 and both of my .44s and .45s but I like the .44 caliber. Right now I shoot the .44-90 bn the most and both are a good shooter but like E-T said it can make you want to pull your hair out. But when the conditions get rough I reach for the Big .50 but I dont know how much longer I will reach for Calamity my 72 year ond reconstructed shoulder will hold up to the push it gives it with a 110 grain load with a 720 gr bullet.

Kurt Kurt +100 on reaching for the .50! If I had to absolutely make a shot....like the Legend of William Tell....it would be the .50 I'd go for because anything I stick into that sonofagun will go right where I'm holding as long as it's a 650 gr. plus! If I miss a shot with it...I KNOW IT'S ME....not the rifle or the load!! Here's an example: Acespade by Sharps45 2 7/8, on Flickr Goto50 by Sharps45 2 7/8, on Flickr It's nothing fancy...just a heavy barrel C. Sharps that's one more tack driver...especially with 700+ gr. paper patch bullets! Barrel sights work real well!

45-90 Long Range Express on my second outing shooting 405 gr Gov slugs. Yes, I will have to step up a bit in weight to do the long range stuff. I never thought I'd be capable of such with iron sights.

Ok Rick here it is. Had to tape it over the X on a 100 yd slow fire target, couldn't see the chip at 130 yards The wind is blowing 25 MPH so I had to shoot twice for sight corrections before driving it through the target. Hit it with the last two shots. I used some old loads left over from the 09 Quigley and shot 4 rounds with out using the B-T. Just load and shot. The load was using the 718 gr 1/30 T/L GG Brooks Creedmoor bullet with 115 grains of 1FG old Goex express powder. This Shiloh is showing a lot of signs from being used. The bluing is shot off from the muzzle blast and from sliding over the cross sticks. Bore and throat is showing a lot of wear but guessing it must be approching the 20 K mark but it is shooting better as It gets older. I just love this rifle but it will hurt so good when I get careless shooting it. IMG_0246 by Kurt's Hobby, on Flickr IMG_0247 by Kurt's Hobby, on Flickr IMG_0248 by Kurt's Hobby, on Flickr

Kurt was your spotter at home or in town when you shot that chip? I was lookin at that middle pic and noticed the close proximity of the target to the family room of her home away from home......
