Hey guys, I'm about to get my hands on one and I was wondering what loads you have had good luck with.

I was thinking of the 225-250 grainers.

Any thoughts, ideas?

Thanks

I had a 700 Classic couple years ago before I sold it to another campfire member. I fed it 225gr Partitions over a near max load of IMR4320. That load would shoot under .75MOA all day.

I don't have a remmy, but my ruger does real well with 225 sierras and Varget, RL15 should work just as well.

Ramshot TAC is far and away the best powder right now for the .350 Remington.

Barnes lists a maximum of 62.0 grains with the 225 TSX for 2764 fps in a 20" barrel. I've gone up to 59.0 grains with the Nosler Partition for 2500+ fps in a 22" barrel. In two different rifles (a Remington 700 Classic and a Ruger 77 MKII) the accuracy was under 1".

Great pickup !
I also have a 700BDL 350 Rem Mag with 24"bbl. I mostly use a 225gn Sierra and 57gns IMR 4895 for 2700fps.

In my rifle maximum loads of W748,IMR4320 and IMR4895 all give around 2700fps with 225gn Sierra or Nosler Partition. 57gns Varget only gives me 2600fps.

I have not tried RL15 or H4895 so cant comment on them but they'd be worth trying.

The .350 Rem Mag is pretty easy......Top two powders are Benchmark and TAC. Either work great with 200's or 225's!

I used the 225 Partition on several hogs and liked it. Just too much gun for me. And probably too much bullet.

It looks like Varget shoots well in just about any caliber.

I have had my eye on TAC, but I heard Benchmark is a powder that you have to build up slowly or you will see serious pressure signs. Not sure if that's true for all calibers.

I may go buy some TAC, IMR4895 and W748 soon. IMR4320 is another I may look at down the road.

Thanks and keep it coming, the more knowledge I absorb the better.

I used IMR4895 in mine. It was a Hill Country Rifles accurized Model 673 Guide Gun. Shot a tiny little group with it and then just used it in the field.

I've loaded tons of Benchmark in .223 and AI as well as the .350 Mag. Never seen anything but greatness out of it.

Besides TAC, what would you consider to the best powder? No one in town has TAC so instead of ordering it I would rather get another powder that will work about the same or better.

Thanks

I bought one of those rifles last August. I've only loaded IMR4320/Hornady 200 gr. SP loads with it. This works pretty well. At first I wasn't excited about the groups, but they got better. I think it just took me a while to get used to the rifle.

I have the same rifle, a Classic in .350. Love it, though I need to replace the rock-hard pad.

Shoots factory 200gr Core Loct into less than 1moa.

I've just begun loading for the rifle and here are some initial results:

Finally got out with the 7KS, some results for interested folks
I did not test these loads for accuracy.

Conditions:
15 Feb 2012
Elevation ~600' ASL
Temp 4 Deg C
RH ~68%
Atm Pressure ~1019.5
Overcast
Wind Nil
Chronograph ProChrono Digital

Load Data:
Bullet 225 Nosler Partition
Case Remington
Primer CCI 200
Powder Reloader 15
Crimp None

59 grains: 2645 fps, no pressure signs.
60 grains: duplicate 2645, no pressure signs.
61 grains: 2704 fps, slight primer cratering.
62 grains: 2772 fps, no primer cratering but slightly sticky extraction and shine on case head.
Had 63 loaded up but no need to fire it after seeing 62 grains

I also had some Remington 200 grain factory on hand. 3 fired over the chrono:
2624 fps
2583 fps
2594 fps
Avg 2600 fps
The three round group measured 7/8 of an inch center to center.

ok folks, here it is...
Pressure tested with the 350 with TAC yesterday.

Results:
Conditions:
4 March 2012
Elevation ~138' ASL
Temp 5.2 Deg C
RH ~75%
Atm Pressure ~1001.0
Overcast
Wind Nil
Chronograph ProChrono Digital

Load Data:
Bullet 225 Nosler Partition
Case Remington
Primer CCI #34
Powder Ramshot TAC
Crimp None

55 grains: 2496 fps
56 grains: 2487 fps
57 grains: 2599 fps
58 grains: 2578 fps
59 grains: 2650 fps Pressure signs at 59 grains. Sticky extraction and shine on case head as seen in photo under "350 and R".
60 grains: 2699 fps Very clear pressure signs at 60 grains. Sticky extraction and shine on case head as seen in photo under "MAG".

So, over the next couple weeks I plan to run the Reloader 15 for accuracy. My plan is to run ladder testing at 300 yards from my max pressure tested load of 61 grains down to about 58 grains and see what I get. These 225 Nosler partitions ain't cheap, but it sure is fun shooting them through that rifle
