Just bought the new Browning X bolt in left hand 7mm WSM. Im having an issue since the Nikon Monarch 4-16x42 SF has a huge parallax knob and the round is hitting the knob when I go to extract it. It happens with live or empty shells. Either a new scope or maybe higher rings might help. I have a set of Talley low one piece on it now. Sucks I love the setup wondering if others have had any issue? Not many lefties out their at this time I got one of the first ones in WSM.

I want someone who has a lefty and know what rings and scope they have. I dont want to get higher rings and it still hits. Also the cheek weld will be off if I go too high.

Turn the scope around

I have seen people rotate the scope 90 degrees in extreme instances.

New Scope or higher rings. Or don't worry about it.

It will jam if I dont fix it. You cant get the round to eject at all so the rifle would be single shot. Might have to put my old scope on and use that for now. It has front parallax.

Remove the top half of the rings and shim under the scope until you find the required clearance, then make a decision.

I have seen people rotate the scope 90 degrees in extreme instances. How is that even possible? That scope has three dials on it. If you rotate it either direction, one of the dials will be hitting the action because it will be underneath the scope. He needs higher rings, or a different scope.

Im sending it back to Browning and see what they do. Im pissed they produce a rifle with this defect and make no attempt to correct the condition. Don't produce WSM's if they wont eject right.

And just why do you expect Browning to do anything? I'm not a defender of Browning by any means, but it's fairly clear that the issue is due to the style of scope you chose.. I bet if it were all reversed, there would be cases hitting the knob from the RH side too..
It's why that scope was designed with the larger turret on the LH side; very few rifles are LH... Maybe the scope manufacturer needs to put a warning on their box that informs customers that they may expect some interference from LH ejections...
I bet Browning can (or will) do nothing..

Like the above poster mentioned, it's not Browning's fault you chose a scope with a SF to put on a LH rifle. It's YOUR fault, not theirs. Ya gotta be smarter than your equipment.

Yep! Put the old scope on it and see if it does it. I'm guessing that it won't.

I had the same issue with a Tactical Monarch X 2.5-10 in game reaper low mounts on an x bolt.
Those [bleep] knobs are tremendous. If you can't Play with the scope positioning and get it to eject, just stick higher rings on it and go forth.
Ain't Brownings problem. Nikon with their steering wheel sized knobs ain't helping either.

The only obvious solution is a left handed scope. Yep. Turn the scope 90 degrees and get on with life.
