Great offers. I used one just like that to take many of my earliest deer with.

In Texas there is a youth hunters program for underprivileged kids usually without parents to let them have the chance to go hunting. They are always short on rifles, ammo and mentors. Might not be what you had in mind but a good program and it would benefit several kids instead of just one.

If your interested contact me and I can track down the sponsors as I haven't been involved with the program for awhile.

I think binos are real good idea for a young hunter.

Too many youngsters use their riflescopes to spot and verify game.

Can't get Leupold products from Cameraland NY but they have many other choices and if you decide to go with CLNY I'll donate a $50 gift card to CLNY on top of the other stuff I offered.

This place is awesome because of things like this. The BLR in 308 is one of my personal favorite platforms. This is going to be a great gift for a kid. If we get him/her binocs from Doug count me in for $25 and may I reccomend the Minox 10x42 blaze cammo version that Doug has for $150. I am using that model right now and love it!

We're halfway to the $150 needed for those Minox binos which I believe would be a good choice as well.

This place rocks!!!!!

Ya that sounds great to deal with Doug. Just get what he/she needs and let me know what I owe. Or I can get but I'm not as familiar with the model y'all speak of. Sounds great though.

Great thing to do, we all need to be supportive of our hunting traditions. Last time we did this I provided the scope. Don't have much in the way of 308 stuff, but do have many reloading books. Might not be the most current ones but have Nosler, Speer Hornady etc. Count me in for some more reloading books when this works out. PM an Adress I 'll get them in the mail.

Depending on the size of the person I should have some hunting gear that while not new would have many years of use left in it. Jackets, boots etc. Mine are grown now, and still have stuff from the earley years. Between us all bet we can get a full gear setup arranged. Let me know what sizes are needed.
