Spend it on a tutor.

For a young man like you...

A Remington 770 in .300 Win Mag
Windage adjustable bases, and millet rings.
A BSA blister pack 4-16x40 mounted as far back as you can get it.
An Unlce Mike's sling with matching Bubba Buddy to hold all your extra ammo.
Shooting nothing but the most premium ammo... Core-Lokts of course!

The 30-06 is about the best all around caliber if you can stand the commonalty of it.

Kbruce help me out....does this mean you have a 7 mag,a 243,and a 30/06? Those three? Just want to be clear.....

If so, get a 223.

You don't need anything else beyond the first three for any hunting.

The 280 Remington is overbore.

The 7 Rem Mag is over bore.

First, a reloading setup if not already acquired. Then, sell what you got.

Use that money for a Kimber Montana in .223 and a second in 7-08. Talley LW's for rings and Leupold 2-7X's for glass.

Use the rest of your money on expensive liquor and cheap women. I can PM my address for the thank you note 30 years down the road.

Yes I have those 3 but lets not start the whole 223 thing again.

I'd have to say a nice shotgun if you don't have one or a nice 22LR. If those are covered then you might look at a nice muzzle loader or maybe a sharps to give you some variety and access to the primitive weapons hunts.

Knruce---- Depends on what you are hunting and where. Whitetail or Bears in the Dacks --- 50 yard shots-- I would use my Model 7 .308 -- I'm 5'7" so the 18 1/2" .308 humping through the Dacks is just what the Doctor ordered. Never hunted elk, Mule deer,or Moose with long 300 yard shots but if I did I would want to buy something like a 7mm or .300 Mag. with a 22" or 24" tube. I often thought of getting a custom Model 7 .358 Win. but it's father the .308 will kill those whitetail just as dead. There are 5 model 7's in my hunting camp-- Four .308's and one 7-08. Web

You got everything you need except a truck load of ammunition and a mentor.

Yes..
Either in a stainless Montana or Remington 700

And sell your 7 maggie and 30-06..

After you shot the [bleep] out of your .223, .243 and 708 then you won't need to come on some forum and ask "Whats a good hunting rifle"..
