Actually REALLY pleasantly surprised to see reference to a 1 in 14 twist .223AI.... Don't know if thats a good thing, or the first sign of the Apocalypse....

Without reading the whole thread, has anybody addressed the pressure difference, if you take a .22-250 load that's redlined in a 1:14 barrel, and try it in a 1:8 barrel?
The answer might just resolve Boxer's original question, i.e., Nosler's worried that somebody might blow something with non-industry-standard twists?
And in any case, Cooper I know will build 1:8 .22-250 AI's...and they cost less than Noslers.

Actually surprised the see some CM in there Stick! 'qam, Does I say,not as I do. CM has no place in a Hard Use Utility Rifle, especially CM spouts(though I'm very hip on chrome-lined tubes). Interiors matter, exteriors do not. Think twist, throating and COAL,as it is the ONLY way to ring the bell. Would love to see a Laminate LTR in S/S wearing a 1-8" spout. Would take another in Classic, along with a few in 22-250 as well. My 9" 223AI LTR do bughole the 75A-Max however, but 9" is never a sure thing...especially in a SAAMI 223. Hint. tex', Swing for the fence,I shoot the 22-250AI from 1-7.7" to 14"(actually 16",but dat's another subject). Be sure to use ALL of your [bleep] Imagination, because you are gonna need it. Nosler is "worried" about a 1-8" 223 or 22-250 "blowing up",as well as a 1-9" 243? Jesus Christ that's [bleep] stupid enough, that I'd not be surprised to learn that Jeff-O PM'd you that "information". How the hell do you shift your brain into a low enough [bleep] gear,to dream schit like that up? PLEASE call them and get the "blow up" particulars! Laffin'! Few things better than a Texan trying to talk rifles. Let's hope now, that you are dumb enough to say something in the firsthand regarding your 1-8" and 1-14" 22-250's and rest assured that I'm braced for the long and awkward [bleep] silence that is to follow. Your Imagination is taking you to places that don't exist, though it's funnier than [bleep],that you Pretend that they do. Wow. 'gwe, A 1-14" 223AI is an Epic Goat [bleep]. I'm afforded the luxury of not being forced to guess,if only because I got 'em all. Cheer up,12" ain't no Peach either. 1-8" is where it's at in .224". Hint.

The answer might just resolve Boxer's original question
...the funniest quote of this thread, The only thing that the ANSWER will do is make Stick (Boxer) resolve to [bleep] another goat and ask Jeff O and Seafire....eeeerrr Shefire another original sexual orientation question and keep the Merry-go round turning until another victim replies......funny fluff with no substance.

Call Nosler tell them to have Pac Nor put a 1/8 twist in on the next shipment of barrels just for you.Get politely told to [bleep] off,or get what you want and maybe pay a few extra schillings.

I'm amazed... 11, 000 views...of a thread put up by a guy who puts a Skull and Crossbones Decal on his rifles... I mean what kind of wannabe, puts a decal of a skull and crossbone on their rifle??... must be left over when he was in Junior High... I admit to being at a loss of the popularity of Schtick... but Rick should make his birthday a National 24 Hour Campfire Holiday... I'd send him a birthday card!

must be left over when he was in Junior High... ! It's because watching Stick is like watching a ginormous ego-filled balloon pop in slow motion. When he gets slightly bewildered and starts repeating the same tired chit while thinking he's actually insulting people it's even better. When the fish and dead trees come out you know it's yet another Big Stick Self-Goatphuck. It ain't never not funny.

Mag length constraints alone should tell you that.Seat a 90 grain Sierra Match King out to kiss find pressure and watch them keyhole.

And here I thought headstamps didn't matter? Perhaps the COL "latitude" is my only saving grace.... Do you think a 1-8 22PPC on a Vixen action would create a yellow schitstorm?
