Figures, a limited run when I'm all tapped out on my present project. Buy 2 or 3 Kirk and save one for me.

I remodeled 2 bathrooms so I can,t play also.
McEdge is a no go in Ruger, either MPI or Pendleton Composite for a synthetic in a LH SA Ruger. Or convert a RH.

We need to find a prosperous lefty who can buy us all one of these rifles and hold them for us until we're not so tapped out! Utah708, Jim in Idaho, Bea175, Redneck, Bsa1917hunter? C'mon one of you just came into a bunch of cash didn't you? Cashed out an IRA? Won the lottery? Sold an organ?

I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass. And I'm all out of bubblegum. I do tend to fit in well wherever I go in person. The campfire is the most outside exposure I get. No TV, no newspaper.

Would pleasuring old divorced women qualify? I got a hot dinner date Friday, she did really well in the settlement and shes acting like shes horny. Okay, back to reality. Damn. Just, damn. I recently bought four pistols with my tax refund and some back pay, that's way over two grand and I ain't a rich guy. Going to sell some stuff at a gun show in April but thats not for two weeks and was planning to use the money to maybe get a Browning Hi-Power and/or a Kimber target model 1911. Hmm. Damn. Why did they put it in a heavy, meshugana green laminated stock? (sticking finger in mouth) So to be able to look at it without getting sick Id have to spring for a factory walnut replacement or an aftermarket synthetic of some kind. On the other hand, the .308 has become one of my favorite chamberings mild to shoot, easy to load, eager to please. They couldnt have picked a more tempting chambering. Decisions, decisions. Damn.
Gunnery, gunnery, gunnery. Hit the target, all else is twaddle!

Seems all we lefties are in the same boat right now!
I know Utah has a few irons in the fire right now too.

Thats okay. I always have a couple of expendables that could get put up for sale to help finanance the new one. Trouble is, most of those expendables come from impulse buys like this. Ive resisted buying a regular blued LH Hawkeye .308 for a while so have to let the initial giddiness of this find calm down a bit. Lets see how I feel in five minutes...

Anybody know for sure if the McMillan Classic and Hunter stocks for the Ruger Mark II will handle short actions? Their web page says they are both available in right and left hand but dont specify long or short, so Im guessing both but just wanted to check the collective knowledge here. No particular reason for askin, ya know, just a random thought...

DickD from McMillan wrote this in response to a question about differences between the Vanguard S2 and S1. Well, we just don't know if there is any difference in the action or bottom metal on a "Series 2" and the old standard because we have never had a "Series 2" in our shop. Simple solution is just send yours in to us. then if there is a difference we will write a new CNC program for the Series 2 and it won't be a problem any more.So Jim, it seems all you'd need to do is send in your new Ruger BA into them and they'd write up a program. If they don't have it already.

Man, I am growing weak...always wanted a .308....I tell myself that I can weather this temptation! I'd have to bribe the bride with some major modification to our humble abode...

What, not gonna fess up that you were completely full of schitt and didn't know what the [bleep] you were talking about? You [bleep] asshat [bleep]. I'm not sure you understood what leftybolt posted: RUGER DOES NOT AND HAS NOT MADE SHORT ACTION, LEFT-HANDED, STAINLESS MODEL 77s. EVER.
No one will be able to assist you, because the item for which you are asking DOES NOT EXIST. IT DON'T EXIST!!!!

Do whatever it is you need to do Broomd. You know you want it! Heck you know you DESERVE it! Why should the bride get new furniture and you get nothing? It's just not fair! It is only for a VERY limited time that you can get these. You need to jump or you'll miss out, likely for forever! It'll appreciate in value by default because it's so unique!

It may not have existed when BT made that comment.
Is there proof to the contrary?

Kind of interesting find as I haven't owned a ruger centerfire in a number of years. Since there is 4 of them, I'll mull it around a bit. Just found a 6x42 that needs a rifle.

Ken, you realize that you aren't helping this situation! I bought my two KS guns last year and built a faux Ti. I also hunted in Alaska. I better tread lightly.
