It sounds like you didn't get the clip release reassembled correctly. Is you gun a 527? Did you take it out of the stock?

Parts may not be broken, just not put back together correctly.

Popareid: Once the clip spring is broke, it is broke. CZ-UAS in Kansas City, Kansas, carries extras. I always keep an extra on hand. What I did, was take a pair of needle-nose pliars to gently squeeze the lip of the spring which slips over the side rail down slightly. Be very, very careful as the spring material seems to be a bit brittle and you can snap one easily. You don't need to make the lip of the piece which fits over the siderail even with the rest of spring, just enough to hold it snugly in its place. As always, when re-installing your barrelled action into the stock, care must be taken to not put pressure on the leading edge of the magazine spring when you are putting the bottom metal back into the stock. I rock mine gently until it slips in easily. After saying all of this, I got one clip spring from CZ-USA that fit like it was supposed to fit. I find it best to get at least two clip springs from CZ. When one breaks it is a real bugger to have to hold the clip in place with one hand while working the bolt and keeping it in place during the shooting process. Good luck with your CZ. I have the 527 Lux. I did not like the humpback stock, so sold it and bought a fancy grade American Walnut aftermarkert stock from CZ-USA. Had to do some minor inletting so the barrel sight band would fit and after all that, had a gunsmith put some pillars into it so the action is pillar bedded. Man, talk about one accurate rifle. When I was living in New Mexico, p-dogs trembled at the mere mention of my name! Good luck ... Tom Purdom
