All you need to do is go with Medium Rings or replace the scope with a smaller one . Why would you think Browning is at fault for something you have done. Low Ring aren't designed for large scope. Clear case of Operator Error.

A. This ain't a Browning malfunction, it's a user malfunction.
B. Choosing the wrong scope ain't Browning's fault, see A.

End of story.

the path of the ejected round is dependent on the position of the ejector on the bolt face , browning put it in the wrong place or the ejected round would clear the scope. is there any warning that came with the rifle telling the buyer not to use low scope rings on their POS rifle?

Love how you guys flame me so quick without knowing the story. Anybody have an X Bolt? I know people in Browning and they admit there are issues with the WSM and ejection problems. They are going to cut a relief in the action to help with ejection. Most scopes today are coming with side focus and many have larger knobs than Nikon (Nightforce,Zeiss) If they new about this issue and the left hand rifle was two years behind the right hand why not do a little engineering and fix the problem? Go on youtube and see guys with right hand rifles that won't eject either. I can buy any other left hand rifle and not have this problem. I have Remingon, Anschutz, Nesika, and Bat and they all work fine with the same scopes.

If a scope is rotated 90 degree you loose too much adjustment to thats out of the question. Besides with 3 turret I cant do that. Higher rings wont work since it ejects at about 11 almost straight up. Found this so its not me or the scope. Do research before you blast me next time.

I got two. One in 7wsm and one in 7-08. I agree BrownIng should have lessened the angle, but medium rings cured mine.

Didn't really notice a difference either. I know it's aggravating but try the medium rings and see how it does. Try them at the shop and bring an empty case so you can verify it will eject before u buy them.

That's what I did.

I would say some scopes are so equipped. Most scopes I see are not rigged for parallax adjustment although I insist on such even for my lowly 22 LR's. One could purchase a scope with an adjustable objective. I find those easeir and more precise to adjust than the smaller knobs.

Thanks if the cut doesn't work ill try med rings. Hope to get the rifle back fast still never shot it. I really wanted the Nikon due to the BDC and the spot on software. I've shot this rifle at two Nikon shots and I was impressed by the rifle as well as the scope.

Speaking only for me - not a chance.. I do not own a single Browning firearm..

Interesting.. Funny, but those fat-azzed WSM cases have caused problems in a lot of firearms.. Maybe that's why they're not all that popular..

An excellent question.. Maybe they were too busy screwing up the new M70's trigger.. laugh

In WMS chamberings?? (just askin')

I read over my other post and hope I wasn't coming across as flaming you or anyone else.. It wasn't intended as such... But there ARE other firearms that do have cases hit scopes due to their design.. Owners usually either (a) change scopes or (b) change rings/mounts to alleviate the issue.. I truly had NO idea that Browning will make that kind of modification on your rifle to address that particular issue.. If that's true - then kudos to them..

It's not just Browning. I have a Sako A7 in 300WSM that I absolutely love other than I've had a lot of problems with cases hitting the scope. Had a Monarch in med rings that hit. Moved to high rings and it still hit the windage cap. Switched to a Leupold because the caps don't stick out as much, kept the high rings. It still hits unless I cycle the bolt harder/faster than normal, which causes the case to fly out at a more rearward angle and barely clear the scope. If I got extra high rings it would be too high for my use. I love everything else about the gun, but this problem has been a huge pain in the a$$. Not sure why they designed it like this as I have read of others having issues with the WSM A7s. With regard to the XBolts, I have one in .280 wearing low rings and a VXII that has no clearance problems. I think this is a WSM issue for some manufactures for some reason. Ejector needs to be in a different spot on the bolt face apparently.

I got the rifle back from Browning and they didn't do much of anything. Seems like the cut a few coils off the ejection spring. Same problem so Im going with higher mounts. Wish I bought the 7mm Mag.
