Just ordered your book Dan.... As to the "Burly outdoor types and Kindles....." I recently got a second Kindle....this one is the Fire model so when reading an especially good book..... I don't even have to turn on a light during bathroom breaks..... I'll post a review on Amazon when I finish it.... Just love helping an "non PC" writer gain leverage over the PC publishers.....

Just got news today that my book is holding at #3 Amazon Top Rated for Westerns, and has made the top 100 best sellers for Western Ebooks. It's sitting at #76. A lot of you guys helped make that possible.

Dan That's GREAT news Dan! Congrats.... This thread was the catalyst that got me to buy my first ever ebook and since I don't have a Kindle, a little research got me hooked up with the free Kindle reader for PC that Amazon offers. I have a library of several hundred western paperback books and have always loved reading westerns. I've always thought that I'd like to write novels and westerns are my favorite although I have all of Stephen Hunter's books (I think) and they're right up there with my favorite westerns. I'm on a vacation right now so I'll probably not get around to reading your ebook for another week or two but I'll let you know what I think. $bob$

Dan,
There's just one detail you left out - do Shaw's business cards and holster have a chess piece on them?

I believe because of you guys, it finally made the Amazon's best seller's list for westerns.
Thanks again.

The Long Shooters deserves to be among Amazon's best sellers for westerns Dan. It is a novel every western fan should read. It has all the key elements to keep it interesting from start to finish, with lots of twists and turns to keep readers guessing what's next. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Jerry

Hey Dan,
What would it take to get Barnes and Noble to offer a Nook version?
Deal with it.

When is the movie coming out Dan? I'd definitely go to see that one if it was true to the book!

The movie will come out as soon as you introduce the book to Clint Eastwood....

I checked to see if your book might be available for the Barnes and Noble Nook but no-go. They did have a paper copy available for $38.00 and another for $270 and a third for over $300!!!
Hope you're getting something commensurate for those prices!

Dan, How is your next book coming?
