Its aluminum and at 1.250" diameter is just 2.2 oz. John Graziano made it out of Lake Ariel PA. He goes by ROCKJAG4 over on Accurateshooter.com $75.00 plus freight.

Tim, I know brakes are usually considered loud and obnoxious. How much did that brake raise the noise level on your target rifle?

When shooting on a firing line with others, all ear protection in place, I do not notice any difference in noise level. What I see is another story altogether. I can get back to battery so much faster and smoother it ain`t funny.

Thank you!

Oak Ridge was the first match I ever attended in 2007. They quit having IBS matches there for a spell, but are now back in business.

Its been many years since wife and I shot a service rifle match at Oakridge but really enjoyed the range and the country! Would love to get back one day but probably won't happen.

1 inch groups at 600 yards are to drool over.

MSSA results are not posted yet from this weekend, but lady luck smiled on me again. I shot not small group of the match, but small group in Heavy class with a .963" Won first place score Heavy with a 188, won 2nd place score Lt with a 194, won 3rd place group in Lt. Won the match with 1st place 2 Gun Agg. grin

6 IBS points.

Oak Ridge is a beautiful place, the rock bluff behind the pits and the small pond beside the parking area is very beautiful.

Keep it up. I don't read all your posts all the time but when I have time I sure enjoy the updates! Better than watching news or TV for sure.

TN sure has some beauty to it! I"m a Alaskan mountains kinda guy mostly but TN ain't nothing to sneeze at.

You should visit the whole area just north of Carthage TN. Breathtaking.

I bought the tools to do a Stiller drop port which is the same as Remington and Pierce actions. First try today, pretty fun learning/doing something new.

I use a BAT model B and actually have a Borden BR action and stock for sale over on Accurateshooter.com. I prefer a Leupold 40x and am looking hard at a March 40x if funds allow.

nice, i would need a lefty action for my build, but i am planning on doing a 6mmBR with a 28" barrel of some sort. i would like it to be fluted though.

could you elaborate on your dies and possibly include a picture?

On the dies, I have Redding S-Type FL to size with part number 77317. I like .0015" to .002" tension so a no turn may need a .267" bushing. I seat with an arbor press with Wilson inline die.

Barrels are easy, cut rifled ones made by Bartlein, Krieger, or Brux.
