Where am I supposed to ask about the .223 AI pressure?..You never logged did you and if so it must have been a trial basis on the landing.

i spent ten years on Cat 518s. a couple on a Mountain Logger 150, another couple on a Barko 250, zero in a log truck.

.223 SAAMI pressure is 55K psi

.223 CIP is 62366 psi (4300 bar)

ditto for the 5.56 NATO

I use my Spider Senses to detect pressure limits for the .223 AI.

SAAMI "limits" are generally accepted, but voluntary, industry standardized design and manufacturing specifications.

However, a user can push the pressure as high as they wish. The only penalty for going too high is risking the user's own safety.

As with most AI'd rounds, there is not a SAAMI spec for the 223 AI.

Was hoping to head towards work today,but the weather blew up and flights was cancelled...so we punted and headed for a creek.(grin)

To the "surprise" of only The Do-Nothing Gang,a 223AI were in tow. Laffin'!

#3 1-8" fluted Brux at 23",Glen DBM,AICS mag,Swirled classic,LW,1" 3.5-10x w/ M1 ele,75's/'335 to a magfed kiss(AICS COAL allows 2.500").



Weather was BEAUTIFUL,as per always.

This .223AI blueprint stuff is pretty close...but should never be exact...and no matter how different...with the exception of 1/8 (+/-... )...will generally, always work.....
