I bought a book at Amazon.com. Wasn't crowded at all.

It'd take an entire SEAL platoon to drag me to a mall on most days. (haven't been to one in 3+ years)

No freaking way I'd go today.

I did. Bought some slugs for my son's new slug barrel at Walmart only to find the range closed. So then we went to Sportsman's and got him some new boots and more slugs to try, and some Gold Medal .22 and Blackhills .223's ....................errr..... did you mean Christmas stuff??

We braved the crowds for a spell. We bought a couple of Christmas presents for ourselves. A 50-inch Panasonic Plasma HD television for the living room and a 26-inch Samsung LCD television for another room, plus SurroundSound and professional installation.

That pretty much blows our wad for a while.

I guess it is not PC to admit watching the television, but I guess I'm not a PC kind of guy (send photos of deer guts to friends and neighbors). We totally enjoy CSI, Ghost Whisperer, Medium, NCIS, Bones (there seems to be a common thread here) and Journey Home on EWTN.

Yep went shopping $2000 worth of laminate flooring, another $1000 for tile, fridge, stove all the kitchen stuff in fact. Carpet don't know how much it cost as I had to jet outa there get #2 kid a B-day card and gift card for his bud that he was going to his party today. Oh and I bought a new pair of shoes for the wife (one of the mutts chewed up one of hers, she won't let me shoot them, go figure) and threw in a pair of boots as they were having their grand opening and get the 2nd pair half off, ran into one of her coworkers so hopefully she delivered them to her at work as I didn't have time. Just got done with 3 hours worth of snowplowing. Yep power shopping today, but most of it at Lowe's.

S2005,

Dang son, the Denny's you work at must pay pretty good. (grin)

Wish I could sample some of your fare, you must be a pretty fair hand with a skillet to command that kind of money for cooking. Hey you ain't cooking meth are ya!

Ha no, I work in a kitchen at a bowling alley/sports bar and grill $2500 was for total sales (food and beverage)

Mostly junk stuff. fried alot of chicken, fries, burgers, and went through about 40 12" and 16" pizzas

I did get to a few steaks. I absolutely hate it to death cooking in a public restaurant though. I spend alot of time on cut, preparation, spicing/flavoring, and presenting. The some 16 year old kid who's 'rents bought him the meal dumps half a gallon of A-1 on it before taking the first bite. A real mans steak needs no sauce, it should be perfect from the grill

Nope! Not downtown or to the Mall- 'cuz, "THEY" don't have post-Thanksgiving Day "Sale's" on "Gun's".

I did go "shopping" though, at my buddies back yard in his plant-starting hut that he converted (for the winter) to a little gun working and knife making shop- and am purchasing a .410 double barrel SXS shotgun (deluxe)- as he's ordering about 10 of 'em for $140 apiece- and a factory mfg. Walther P88 C Mag. for $10.

Yeah, I went.

Sears - tools.

Nebraska Furniture Mart - $18 DVD player. The crowd in that place was unbelievable! Every single isle anywhere near electronics was PACKED with people. Everyone was polite, but I was thinking "this would be a really bad time for a fire"!

Cabela's - meat slicer, brass/media seperator, crow decoys,
would have bought a coat they had on sale, but as
usual, they had no XL/Tall sizes.

Lowes - 4' step ladder.

I hate large crowds and traffic, but I'm too much of a tightwad so I brave them for the good deals. I will not go to Kmart or Circuit City because they never have what they advertise.

Gotcha bud, thanks for 'splaining in other words it was 3x's as busy as usual! Whew tough shift.

I'm with ya on the A-1 but I do like it on some moose steaks or on cheaper cuts of beef. But a good T-bone or NY strip it seems like a real sin, just pass the salt and pepper please.
