Congrats. My wife just left the house for HER last day as a 9th grade history teacher. She's thrilled. You would not believe what she's had to deal with this year. She still loves the teaching but the raw material coming through the door was just AWFUL this year.
She was notified the week before school started that instead of teaching Mississippi history, she would be teaching American history(Civil War to present) which is an 11th grade course to 9th graders. No books for six weeks and probably 3/4 of the kids reading below 6th grade level!
Needless to say those first couple of months were rough but she left with a smile on her face this morning.
