I was able to ring this thing out a bit today.
75 gr A-Max seated @ 2.690 COL for each load. Winnie brass, CCI 200 primer. This is out of a 22" tube, SAAMI chamber. All speeds are the average of five shot strings.
Weights in grains and speed in fps, of course...
Big Game: 32.0 = 2,886 32.5 = 2,952 33.0 = 3,062 33.5 = 3,126 34.0 = 3,186
Everything was under an inch with the exception being the 34 grain load. Schit went to schit on that one. Best group was with 33.5gr's. I didn't measure it but I'm sure it's in the 2's or better.
RL 15 gave great results as well, and a little better speed. 33.5gr's gave me 3,289fps and a half inch group.
I have two pounds of Hunter downstairs, I'll give that whirl next.
Thanks again for the help guys.

seafire, you mention the lethality off the 75 grain HP being as good if not better than the amax, what have you shot with these and the amax

This question is a paradox of sorts.....22-250...+ Big Game...
22-250 not really the best big game caliber.....+75gr A-Max perhaps the most fragile (frangible of 22cal.bullet's).
Seems like a disaster to me but since MD has put his moniker here I will tell you what will work best.
22-250 Lapua cases,Fed 210 primer's, Berger 80gr VLD bullet's with RL19 powder (use a chronograph to see what load works best in your barrel).
The 75gr A-Max is a great bullet for a 223 etc., not so good for the bigger cases

I think rockchuck is missing the point that "Big Game" is a powder, and is commenting on his opinion of the effectiveness of the 75 gr A-Max and the .22-250 on large critters....

Travis Travis, I dunno if someone else already covered this, but give a mag primer a shot with the Ramshot line! It might just pick up some speed and the ES/SD could settle in very nicely!

See I saw the same thing with Hunter in my 243 with the 87Vmaxes, running CCI-200s. Itty bitty little groups, nice ES/SD, and overall goodliness, but then I see that Mule Deer and a bunch of other guys report even mo' better stuff with hotter caps. Be interesting to see if it changed anything for you.
On to Hunter now?

WIth the amax I've shot dozens of coyotes and an antelope. Does it hold together like an x? Hell no. But it's far, from the most "fragile" bullet I've run out of it. The 40 gr vmax, 55 gr vmax both came apart faster on stuff for instance.
