Several years (7-8??) ago there was a plan to have Charlie Sisk build a Campfire rifle that would travel to different members of the 'Fire. I believe the 300 Win won the cartridge vote.
I cannot recall, was this rifle ever built? Where did it end its journey? I do believe several folks donated to its completion.
Just curious......

I remember the rifle, but had forgotten the cartridge. I don't know what became of the idea either.

I remember that too, know idea what came of it though!

I believe it was built but legal issues precluded it from being passed around as originally intended.

I don't remember that deal, but perhaps a group buy could be arranged, for some interesting special edition of hunting rifle?
I think they do that occasionally over at ar15.com

We built it. No donations were collected, but everyone voted on specs. It went to Africa, and a few guys were able to handle it, shoot it, and write reviews on it, but yes, circulating it to members became unfeasible. I have it now, and I hunt with it regularly.
