The only knife I could lust after would be Fred Bear's personal Puma Hunter's Pal. Man the mojo that knife would carry. I wonder what ever happened to it?
They say everything happens for a reason. For me that reason is usually because I've made some bad decisions that I need to pay for.

Here's one I lusted over for a while before I got it. This one ain't goin' anywhere any time soon. The stag on this one is so good it almost doesn't look real and it works like it's on ball bearings. Rick Menefee knows his chit when it comes to makin' traditional slip joints.

This one Rick made is my idea of a classic Trapper. Wish it were mine.

Hello DZ,
Truly beautiful knives!! Specially I like the round-butted ones!! For me a more useful grip.
Thank you for showing them!

I would probably commit unspeakable acts to own those two Herron masterpieces, they are PERFECT and as practical for my BC hunting as I can imagine. I would be perfectly happy to have one of each in Elmax with jigged/beaded orange G-10, as I am ALWAYS putting my knife(s) down in the ground litter and then I cannot find them for an hour or so....and, I must confess, BAD words may be heard for miles around!

I often wonder how many Loveless, Herron, Sigman, Hale, Henry, Stone, Towell, Dowell, Horn, Lake, and many others just as good but too numerous to mention are sitting in drawers now belonging to the widows who basically inhereted them when their husbands passed away, and they don't realize what they have. They perhaps think its just another knife.

Kutenay I know what you mean. This one was lost out in the woods for 5 1/2 years before being found.

Neighbor lady is a widow.Has a cardboard box full original Colt and Remington blackpowder revolvers and full set of Auto 5 shotguns under a pile of junk in her garage.Has a Randall Confederate bowie she uses as a garden trowel.Won't part with any of it and refuses to believe it's worth anything !

This knife is what I believe anyone hunting the mountains should be carrying, or a fixed blade version. I liked this knife so much that I got on Rick's wait list the day I saw it.
