I agree. It's time for someone to stand up for food. Besides the obvious stuff which just grows that way : tomatoes, beets, asparagus, watermelon, etc, the other stuff: lutefisk, pickled herring, feta cheese, sauerkraut, head cheese, buttermilk, etc need an advocate, and I are one. laugh BTW, what's a gag reflex?

Oh, I am a bit fussy about some things: liver, fish, etc since I've eaten so much of it in the best condition possible. Feed it to me wrong, and I won't want to eat much - or cook ground beef without the benefit of fire - that stuff smells wrong, wrong, wrong, but love the smell of ground lamb; probably 'cause I've eaten too much moose, caribou, etc.

Liver/brain/tongue, anchovies, brussel sprouts. Most of the stuff that bald guy eats on that TV show.

At least you aren't desecrating them by dumping sugar on them.

I love the smell of liver and onions cooking but the fact that liver turns into a meatish/jello texture after one chew does it.

I can't stand the taste/texture of fresh tomatoes, although I love chunky salsa. Cooked or stewed tomatoes are good. Broccoli I cannot stand. If my dinner is served with broccoli it gets its own little bowl and the wife gets it.
I am sure hot wings taste good, but I cannot get past the smell of viniger.

With all the genetic research, plant breedings etc, I don't think they have ever developed a tomato that was meant to be salted.
You are all doing it WRONG!
