Rifle shoots .75-1" groups with easy loads. Pretty much anything I've worked up has been accurate. Loads have been 225 Hornady Interlocks with 4064 or 4895. around 2600fps.
The stock started life as a plain jane black synthetic and then I gave it a homemade grip treatment and paint job. The grip was laid on with primer and truck bed liner. Paint is from a hobby shop and made it through the mountains in Gunnison/Crested Butte with no problems. It was cured in the South Texas sun.
Both the rifle and scope are in great condition. I plain on buying a decent Savage for light weight Texas deer.
The 338 is brutal on pigs with 200 grain SST at 2900fps. 225 grain loads are a bit much on small pigs and white tail. They all die though.

A personal fan of the 338RCM. I absolutely love mine as it will comfortably hunt any large game in North America.

Great price here! $450 is a steal!
