Too bad, but Ron Howard is picking up his Lib-mantra.
These guys become rich from Hollywood, then they become liberals who know better how to spend my small income.
I won't miss that at all, I'm sorry to say.
Still, the early Mayberry was a great place; I wish we could go back there as a nation. L2S, if it were only possible friend, I talkin' the go back there as a nation part. I dearly miss my beloved childhood, we are inhabiting a completely different planet in the solar system now, sadly for me, with no hope of a return. I was acquainted with Griffith. It isn't polite to speak ill of the dead, as they say... so I won't.

I don't care what his politics are. The man and his friends brought more laughter and enjoyment into my life than any politician.
He made me long for a version of America I've searched for my entire life.

Ernie What Ernie says! I got to thinking about that, him being a big Lib... The whole premise of the show is Andy, the wise "adult" in a room full of retards and simpletons, being the "voice of wisdom and reason". Isn't that a prototype of a Liberal mind set. Those folks think they have superior knowledge and must suffer fools (us) to get their wise, correct policy passed and enforced. That just dawned on me, after hearing about his political leanings. Sorta puts a different light on the whole scenario, watching his old shows. DF

Anyone else remember a made-for-tv movie called "Pray for the Wildcats" where he was the leader of some bad guy desert dirt-bikers? "You just bought yourself a long walk home" I remember the movie very well. Must have been the only time he ever played a bad guy. Spy Hard.....Rancor....
