BTW, The Raisuli did not harm innocent women and children. It was the silly question. How many innocent women and children have we harmed in our quest for impose our will upon other countries? And, yes Candace Bergen did fall in love with The Raisuli. She was willing to die to save him.

If we're going to see real change in our country, we will need a constitutional amendment that apportions electoral votes congruent with percent of votes won. That way a third party candidate -the Tea Party- has a legitimate chance of prevailing.

For instance, in CA it's a proverbial exercise in futility for Republicans to vote. Democrats control this state 6:4. Therefore, regardless of who the Republican nominee might be, Obama doesn't even have to campaign here to win CA's 57 electoral votes. However, were the electoral college changed to apportion electoral vote, then there would be motivation for Republicans to vote. But until then, why would a conservative waste gas driving to a precinct?

Neither Republicans nor Democrats would ever countenance such a constitutional amendment because it would threaten their grips on political power.

Instead of attacking me, wouldn't it have been a lot wiser to acknowledge that we have disparate views of the significance of this election? I don't see this election as being about dumping Obama. I see it as saving our country from totalitarian rule. You see, with either candidate -assuming Romney's the Republican nominee- we're almost assuredly going to wind up at the same destination: GLOBALISM. When that occurs you will know that the sovereign country formerly known as the United States of American will be in past tense.

It's apparent that Romney supporters are focusing intently upon electing him due to their hatred of Obama while never considering options and that he offers nothing of substance in contrast to Obama. In short, 4 years on Romney might just get us a continuation of Obama's reign.

I, on the other hand, will carefully consider options. While I am wise enough to acknowledge that there is zero I can do to change CA's ratio of Democrats to Republicans, hence Obama's having in his bag all 57 of this state's electoral votes, maybe, just maybe, were enough authentic conservatives to reject Romney, the Republican Party will be forced to give us a candidate we WANT to support as opposed to a candidate we HAVE to support.

crosshair, I don't have to support anyone...yet. Were we to lose our republic -I am not not certain we won't- then thugs from either party or THE ONLY PARTY can force me to support politicians as is the case in totalitarian regimes.

In order to create totalitarian regimes, it is necessary to concentrate power in the executive branch. The best way to propagandize Americans into acquiescing ceding totalitarian power to the executive branch was/is under the guise of warfare. Neocons completely understand this concept, especially Bush 43. Romney does as well -he's a consummate neocon- which is why he agrees with Obama on declaring war contrary to I.8.11 of our Constitution, killing Americans contrary to our 5th Amendment, etc. If Romney is good with Obama's agenda, why would you support him?

Benjamin Franklin said that the Constitutional Convention gave us a republic if we could keep it. We've come a long since then, haven't we? crosshair, do you believe we are the free country that was the patrimony of our Founding Fathers?

Now you ought to know why Paul supporters see this election much differently than do Romney supporters.

Now, WhiteTail48, before you answer it, you must first consider the era and resources of Raisuli in order to form a valid answer.

So tell me, WhiteTail48, what would you have done differently? Surrender? Run & hide? Let others do the fighting?

You NEED to see the entire movie before forming an illegitimate opinion of the character that was perfectly played by Sean Connery. Moreover, it might just be Connery's best performance. And I am a huge admirer of him.
