I'm having pretty good luck with 7828 and 140 NBT's.

IME, if you are looking for accuracy, 4350 is pretty good. If you are looking to get the kind of velocity that a 264WM is supposed to provide, you need a much slower burning powder.

With a 26 inch barrel you should get a least 3100 with any 140 gr bullet. I have not tested 140's in my 264, my pet load is 68 gr of Ramshot magnum with the 120 barnes ttsx.

7828 and H-1000 are both good for me. Mine is a 26" Krieger 8 twist and 3100+ is no problem.

Magnum or Magpro should get you 3200, or close to it with 140's

Yeah, along with Retumbo. Between those three, one will usually shoot quite well.

I mostly run 7828 with the 140's. 65g = 3220 fps with a 140 from my 26" remington.

I searched for awhile trying to get 3100+ out of my M70 264 with 140's. Retumbo worked well, but didn't seem super consistent, on a hunch and some good advice I tried RL25 and with 140 BT's and AB's. Well, it turned out to do really well. I end up with about 3180 with both loads, same die settings and everything.

Overall, I am very happy with how the rifle shoots these and the speed came once the rifle found the charge it liked.

Have you got a pet load for the 130gr bullets as I just ordered 150 of the JLK 130gr VLD bullets. It will take a month to get them as they only run a batch when they get a big enough order.

I haven't worked with the 130's much in my 264. I tried 130 NAB's from it and it didn't like them. I have some 130 vld hunting's on the bench that I've been shooting in my 6.5x47 L. I'll have to load some over H1000 and I7828 in the 264 and get them to the range.

when working up loads, do you guys do your groups in 3 shot groups or 5?? im brand new to reloading and i just loaded up some rounds using retumbo. i loaded mine up in 5 shot batches. 2 batches shot awsome for 3 shots and blew the 2nd two way out? the two best 3 shot groups were right at .56 and another at .71 suggestions? what should i change? should i play with seating depth, and at what seating depth should i start at? the seating depth i chose was based on the instructions in the nosler book IF i even did it corectly and i believe my c.o.a.l was 3.372 but the load data i got from berger was for 3.40.

I would keep with 3 shots for a 264. It heats up the barrel pretty quickly, so I would shoot more groups of 3 shots, rather than trying to get 5 down the tube. It is burning alot of powder behind a small bullet.

What load data are you using. I need a starting point on the 130 gr bullets. Shilen 30" 1 in 8 twist. Shooting for 3400 +
