Looks like he used a boat to transport a buck and got that picture of the whale doing it. Just a guess. We use boats around here quite a bit to get into ACOE land.

Had a .358 for years, killed stuff with it and it ran in the 7's to 8's with most everything you wanted to shoot thru it. First group I ever fired was with W-W Silvertips, 3 shots into .85" @ 100 yards. Absolutely one of the most boring guns I've ever owned. Funny thing about it was a groove diameter of .356" at the muzzle. Though saddled with a 16" twist it shot the 250 Hornadys well and they mostly knocked the snot out of deers. It favored 225 Partitions on paper but I never got around to killing anything with them. Also liked H335 FWIW.

Put it on the block w/ a Weaver steel tube K2.5, a friend handling the transaction. It went away with everything except the 100 ct box of loads in virgin brass and 225 Partitions. Someone will take them off my hands someday or I'll buy another .358. Great Cartridge. .35s always seem to shoot well don't they?

I had to cough up some jingle in the process of unloading it but it came back as that .416 Rem pictured earlier in this thread. A Ruger 77 is always good for something if it's weird enough. Someday I'll tell ya about the 7x64 Brenneke I picked up for a song. 'Nuther 77 that served its purpose.......
