I picked up one of these the other night at the local sporting goods store and for 12 bucks I am pretty impressed. It's a lightweight mountain type sling with a non-slip cord woven into the 1" nylon webbing. It really works and doesn't slip off my shoulder. It's even made in Oregon.

Thought somebody else might be interested since I've never heard of them before.

Cool idea, though i like straps that are wider than 1" at the top. Thanks for passing it along...

Been making those in Germany for years. Strange that they are just now hitting our shores.

Good idea though.

Since the sling is inexpensive I thought I would pull the metal swivel attachments off and use 550 cord to tie the sling directly to the studs. I hate the noise associated with the swivels and the squeak that develops after a few days afield.

I used some super glue on the square knot and burned the ends. I am curious if the studs will wear through the cord. I guess we will see.
