That is class, and a real pretty lady. Good on you Sir.

My daughter gets most of the shots with the 67 these days. That's a fine looking young lady, you should be very proud.

My first .22 was a Marlin Model 60 that I got on my 13th birthday. I still have it that rifle but haven't used it much.

Model 62 Winchester pump, and still own it. Wandered the woods every day when we wern't in school. Actually, I went to a one room school that was a 3 mile walk through the woods, and many times took it with me to school, as some of the other kids did. Teacher kept them in a closet behind her desk until we left every day. Boy how times have changed!

The first one I shot with was a Winchester Model 60A with the factory Redfield rear peep and globe front. I know own that one. Made in 1928, and with CB Shorts (or just about anything else) it shoots WAY better than I can. Squirrels hate it.
My first owned was/is a Marlin 60A that I got for my 8th Christmas. I still have it, but she is much worse for wear, and retired.
My first squirrel was taken with a Winchester pump (can't recall the designation, but it's the tube feed OLD model with the exposed hammer). My father still has that, but I'll end up with it.
My current favorite (other than the Win. single-shot) is a Mossberg 151a(t) that was my paternal grandfather's. With an El Paso Weaver K4, it looks just too right. I can't wait to see what she does toward the end of squirrel season here (and on "safari" next fall).

Ruger 10/22 Christmas '68 , I was 10. I still have it & it shoots as good as ever. Bought my wife 1 about 2 yrs ago for her birthday & she loves it. A little bit of difference in the price between '68 & '04 !

My first was also a nice little Ithaca lever single shot. I remember making an incredibly lucky shot on a crow with it across a canyon. I went back many years later and estimated the shot at roughly 400+ yards. I'd forgotten about it until I read Roger Clouser's Precision Shooting Magazine articles on veerrryyy long range open sight shooting. I was using all the front sight post and part of the barrel in the notch of the rear sight.
I still have my second .22, a Win 72. Trigger's not too hot, but an awesome shooter. If you find one in good shape, buy it.

A Savage M24. 22LR over a .410. My parents got it for me on my eighth birthday. I still have it and us it. It was too heavy so I learned a good lesson right off, use a rest when ever possible.

Had to buy my own guns, and was 16 before my folks let me. First off I had a heavy Mossberg target rifle (I forget the model number, it was the cheaper one they made) but that was too heavy so I traded it in on a Savage Mod 24 .22 over 20 gauge. Been a single shot fan ever since.

My first 22 was a Mossberg 351C auto carbine in 1968 which I got for Christmas when I was 14. As I recall, it was my only present. Still have that rifle and it looks as good today as it did in 1968.
Dad didn't have a huge arsenal of firearms and as we kids grew up, we all bought our own rifles and shotguns. We all hunted. Each of my four brothers started out with 22 rifles and learned to shoot with my Dad's Remington pump or older brother's 22's. For the most part, we bought our own guns even when we were under 18.
