Mark, although I understand what you are saying...I am of the school that when a landowner calls with a coyote problem
...I take care of it right now! I don't offer excuses or get in debates about fur quality or killing pups. I go take care of the problem. I find that keeps gates to private land open to me all year long and goes a long ways in regards to good landowner/hunter relations.
With that said, I like prime furred up coyotes as much as the next guy. I also absolutely HATE dealing with snakes in the warm months, but I'm on call to help landowners 24/7/365.
As for bears, I will be doing some poking around.
