Bigsqueeze and MagnumDoosh is karate choppin' the schit outta the air,Shefire is searchin' for pop cans, poor dumb Jeff-O is trying to decide whether to breath outta her mouth or nose and is trying to take a poll on same,'CUB found a penny and struck it rich,Joan's lazy eye has her walking in circles and bumping her head on the same tree limb(though with enough passes,it just might straighten the [bleep] thing out),Great Wapoozy cut a 'Coon track bigger than her Bear's and even addled Savage99 is giving her schit about it. Oh they's a gaggle of "hard chargers"...for sure. Laffin'!

Only fair to grant the Delusional Dumbphucks the bandwidth they deem requisite,to showcase their [bleep] incredible ineptitude and the hilarious "results" of their best efforts.

Best Thread EVER!

DD,

Were I forced to speculate and cite the pinnacle of Model Twelvetitude...it'd be a Nickel Steel solid ribbed 16 punched 2-3/4" or so I hear. I'd prolly even take one in a fixed full.

Hell, knowing me,I prolly slum more than a few. A 12ga 26" 2-3/4" vented fixed IC is a 'tweener of sorts.

Happiness is purple empties, wafting smoke and the "thud"-"thud"-"thud" of a Trifecta hitting terra firma in rapid succession.

Though there ain't too many flies on a 30" full choked solid ribbed Heavy Duck 3" 12ga,with it's plug removed and stoked with copper plated #5's,or so I hear.

'Tweren't no fool,that designed it less a disconnector either,or so I've heard.

I'll dump ISO and slow shutter speeds until then.(grin)

Boxer,

Best blueprint for a "chunk"? 1 mile steel? A-5, Remmy long action would be starters. Where would one go from there?

BEST thread ever!

My intro to the "12" was 28" FC. Took a pheasant one day not far from Larned, KS that was a fair long shot to start. One shot, one thump, the ol' man paced 97 steps to fetch it. Usin' those WW Super X's, #5, just on the market with those newfangled plastic strips around the shot. Combo hummed.

I think your take on the 16 is solid, but I never had the opportunity to work one with a rib. Great piece of engineering and construction the "12". Fixed chokes...got a number of them, no handicap in that concept.

I am..........disturbed.

2 weeks ago my main beer drinking buddy found a Stevens double barrel 12g in the floor joists of his house.

He brought it out to the farm last Friday and we shot it about 30 times. Mostly from the hip.

Get this, it has a plastic stock that looks like wood. Hard plastic buttplate.

Kicks like a [bleep] with 'heavy field loads'.

I have a bruised shoulder.

You can't kill those nickel steel Model 12 16s. Been looking for a SR 26in version for sometime, but it makes little difference if I find one or not.

Battue, the bird on the right looks a little... tenderized! grin

My Lab, Lucy, is getting old. This might be her last season. Helps keep her flushing close at least; she'd get pretty excited as a young dog and work a couple yards further out than ideal. I'm not a good enough trainer to train that out of a young dog but age did it for me <g>.

Sad when they start to go. She's got a front leg limp that has her paying a high price for typical Lab indulgences, like tennis balls or running the deer out of the yard. Shoulder I think, as her other joints seem fine and you can knead them like dough and she just grins.

I need to get out after 'em. It's a down year for grouse in the Coast Range near here. I've seen some quail; they like the brushy cuts and are damned hard to even recover sometimes. Much prefer grouse in the Cascades. And there's a nice canned pheasant hunt (stockers) in the wildlife area near here that's always good for pretending to hunt pheasants <g>...

Think it was just a little wet that day and he got washed some on the carry back to me.

Yes, it is tough to watch them crash at the end.

Abby, with the first.
