Kadena AFB So Dan, that is an original photo from the Korean War? not some current aircraft restoration B 29? that is way cool... "Assam" Dragon, did he fly B 29s during their early deployment in India in '44? A salute of Respect to your Dad, whether he is still with us, or has passed on..... As a son, ya gotta be proud... Not long ago, I found some pictures of my Step Dad, taken just after the Korean War, when he was assigned to the Carrier Oriskany, flying AU6 Corsairs... sadly they are small and pics of a few buddy's posing.. for a photo... the Corsair in the background just happened to be there..

So Dan, that is an original photo from the Korean War? Yes. The photo was taken sometime around mid '51-'52 as I recall Dad's telling. As I recall there was a single nuke strike squadron at Kadena during most of the war and this was one of the the planes. "My Assam Dragon" wore some classic nose art. No to the India question. Elkhunternm, will do and would do so again in a blink.
